I was born in Brazil, but I have been living in Modena, Italy, almost my entire life.
I have been interested in photography since 1995, using my mother’s Canon FTb and AE-1 SLRs; I have never stopped taking photographs since then.
I graduated in Physics at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (BSc – 2010) at the University of Bologna (MSc – 2012).

I have worked in cooperation with ICOOR – Interuniversity Consortium for Optimization and Operations Research and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in managing som FP7 co-funded projects in Mobility and transport. After that I started my collaboration with Energee3 srl as data scientist and software developer. Since 2015 I have been working in Dublin, Ireland for Intel Labs and Optum Global Solutions as a data scientist and AI/ML developer.

I have been practicing martial arts since I was a kid, in 1995. Since 2019, I hold the degree of Black Belt V dan in Karate Shotokan.
I also hold a ham radio operator license, my callsigns  are EI/IZ4VVE and EI3IKB.
